The Ohio General Assembly authorized the state of Ohio to cooperate with the WGU and the authorization was signed by Gov. John Kasich on June 30, 2017.  WGU Ohio is the last am1. The satellite school opened its doors on June 1, 2018.  The satellite school launch agreement was concluded by Scott Pulsipher, president of Western Governors University, and Ohio University System Chancellor John Carey. K.L.M. Allen was appointed Director of the WGU-Ohio Chancellor/State Director on May 4, 2020.  The WGU offers an affordable and flexible transfer option for Community College graduates who wish to pursue and complete their bachelor`s degree. Community colleges working with the WGU can help their students prepare for different post-graduate needs by offering accessible four-year programs (which are likely to last well under four years) and focusing on strong transfer agreements. This article is a contract with Western Governor`s University, which is a non-profit online university to help teachers. They gain limited teaching experience through learning relationships with school districts such as the CUSD.
The visiting teacher receives $150 per teacher candidate and the supervisor $500 per candidate. All aspects of learning (with the exception of demonstration teaching for teacher licensing programs and clinical experience in the pre-licensing program for nurses) are fully completed online. The university notes that „learning resources in a variety of forms, including textbooks, web-based tutorials, simulations, [and] online classes.“  The university makes all course materials and textbooks available (online) through licensing agreements with major commercial providers such as Pearson and McGraw-Hill.  WGU Indiana is the first WGU satellite school founded on June 11, 2010 on the orders of then Governor Mitch Daniels. At its founding, Daniels said, „Today we mark the beginning of Indiana`s eighth state university in a real sense.“  With this partnership, WGU Indiana is licensed by the State Student Assistance Commission of Indiana (SSACI) for Indiana State Scholarships and Scholarships. Students who graduate from Ivy Tech, the university`s national system, can benefit from a articulation agreement that allows them to transfer all credits, waive application fees and obtain a 5% discount on teaching. The school is headquartered in Indianapolis. Alison Bell was appointed chancellor of the school in March 2019.
 WGU Washington was founded in April 2011 with the adoption of House Bill 1822.  It was signed by Governor Christine Gregoire. Former Washington Governor Mike Lowry was one of the university`s founding governors. A law passed in April 2013 called students into question for state scholarships such as public schools.  A transfer agreement allows graduate students from state colleges to get a 5% discount. The founding chancellor in Washington was the former president of Bellevue College, Jean Floten.  Floten retired in 2017. Richard Cummins, Ph.D., who was president of Columbia Basin College, was chancellor for a year before retiring in April 2017. On April 26, 2018, Dr. Tonya Drake became Chancellor of WGU Washington.  Sage the Night Owl has been the school`s official mascot since 2011.   Texas Governor Rick Perry founded WGU Texas in August 2011 with Executive Order RP 75.
 Perry`s predecessor, George W. Bush, was the founding governor of the university. The foundation was supported by Rep. Dan Branch, Republican chairman of the House Education Committee, and Sen. Judith Zaffirini, Democratic chair of the Senate Education Committee. She asked the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, the Texas Education Agency and the Texas Workforce Commission to help with their creation.  The school has an advisory board appointed by the governor, headquartered in Austin.
